Bai Kamara Jr. - The Urban Gipsy News - Email Update

Friday, November 25th, 2005

Hi there!

A quick newsletter this time, but definitely with some interesting facts.

First of all, if you can spare the time tomorrow (Saturday, November 26th), head off to the Place des Palais in Brussels or just to your TV-set and check out Bai's performance at the closing ceremony of the festivities celebrating the 175 years of Belgium.
Bai will perform Substitute & Downtown In St. Josse with a large band in a huge show amongst various other renown Belgian artists.
The concert will start around 16:45 and will be broadcasted live on "La Une" as well.

If the above isn't already enough recognition of Bai's talents, then read on:
Dany Klein of Vaya Con Dios, was totally charmed by Bai's qualities when they were working together on some of her new recordings. Aside of their collaboration, she proposed Bai to join her on stage on three of her concerts and play some songs integrated in her show.
The dates are on:
December 6th in the Cirque Royale in Brussels (sold out)
December 8th in the Casino of Ostend and
December 9th in the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Antwerp.

With all these "big" events going on, we surely don't forget the smaller scaled performance... that (in this case) can be monumental as well: it's almost sad, but for the very last time, Bai will host the Bizon Blues Jam Session in downtown Brussels on December 4th.
Many people know these jam sessions that have brought forth some unforgettable moments and some fine musicians. For years Bai has been the jam master every first Monday of the month, but his will come to an end and the event will be marked with a unique mini concert of Bai and all kinds of special guests before the weekly jam hits off in all it's splendor. The concert starts at 20h30 and simply shouldn't be missed.

Finally, to correct a previous statement: the record company changed it's mind and decided to pick the song "Urban Gipsy" as new single. Normally released this week, you should hear the song on various radio stations... or send in your requests if you don't!

Since time flies by... I'm pretty sure that this is very likely to be the last newsletter of this year... so I wish you all some enchanting and inspiring moments during the last month of 2005... and even better ones in 2006.
