Bai Kamara Jr. - The Urban Gipsy News - Email Update

Hey you people!

Finally a word from the Bai front.
A last minute notice as well, actually.

This Friday, september 12th, Bai will be part of
Baba Jo's Music Emporium,
a great party and concert, again in the
Studio Athanor at 20:00h
Featuring Bai Kamara Jr. & guests
Saint, Moonpie, DJ Ody C & more.
Address: Greepstraat - 17/19 - Rue de la Fourche - 1000 BRUSSELS
Pre-sale: cpm@saint.be or call 0496 151 151

Other new concerts are listed on the concert pages.
Besides for the live dates, the site hasn't been updated for a while,
but more about that below.

First, let's finish off with an appearcance that isn't listed on the
site, but still worth mentioning:
Bai will perform Downtown St. Josse at the
St.-Jazz-ten-Noode festival, Saturday, september 13th
around 19:15 (actually a bit later, but those who are interested won't
miss it this way).
Location: Place St. Josse... right at the "crossroads".

OK, so it has been ages since you got the last newsletter, let alone
that some evolution on Bai's site could be seen.
It's not that there wasn't anything to talk about, but there were
(and are) that many obstructions (both small and huge) that kept us
incredibly busy.
Some of the issues on the Bai front were the setting up of a more solid
and official organisation around Bai, which implied lots of
administration and running around in all kind of directions.
This is all done by yours truly (Arne, in case we haven't been
introduced yet), who also takes care of the website, the online store
some minor booking and before driving and jumping around.
So far, no problem... but combine this with a hectic personal life and
the fact that, despite Bai's growing succes, we're still working like
crazy for mainly peanuts and a bunch of change... and you end up with
the problem of "hey, I gotta find a real job, cuz there's no more money".
So that's where we're at: either finding some friendly donors & sponsors
or hoping that Bai's star will rise to those heights where we can
actually make a living out of it.
So if you know someone who can help us with it...

Either way, we're still doing the best we can. The site will be updated
whenever possible and the same goes for the newsletter...

Just be patient...
We are...
